Survey Streak and Survey Participation

What Is A Survey Streak?

A Survey Streak is what you, as an employee, can use to track your consistency with answering your organization’s surveys. To an organization, it’s important that employees stay engaged and give their honest feedback. In order to help with that, TINYpulse wants to give you a little something for helping your organization do that. (You can even earn badges for keeping your streak going! Fun, right?)

If you want to find out what your streak is currently, Survey Streaks can be found on the Employee dashboard:

How the Survey Streak is Calculated

A Survey Streak includes any kind of survey that the employee receives, regardless of if it’s a long or short survey, an all-company survey, or an individual-specific survey. It will count the number of surveys an employee consecutively submits responses for. When the employee does not answer a survey, the Survey Streak is reset to 0.

Note: If you participate in Onboard Surveys, they do not count towards your Survey Streaks.

Survey Streaks are updated when the survey has concluded or has expired, not when the employee submits their response.

For example:

  • An employee received a survey that has the duration set from January 1 to January 15, 2022.
  • The employee submitted their response on January 10, 2022.
  • The employee’s Survey Streak increased by 1 on January 15, 2022.

If an Admin manually closes an active survey early, the Survey Streak will still increase by 1 for the employees that submitted the response before it was closed. It will not reset for the employees that have not submitted a response.

For example:

  • Employee A and Employee B received a survey that has the duration set from January 1 to January 15, 2022.
  • An Admin manually closes the survey early on January 13, 2022.
  • Employee A submitted their response on January 7, 2022, but Employee B never submitted a response.
  • Employee A’s Survey Streak will increase by 1 on January 13, 2022, while Employee B’s Survey Streak would remain the same as the previous count.

What Is Survey Participation?

Do you prefer stats? You might be more interested in the percentages than a survey count. Survey Participation is what you're looking for!

This rate is calculated based on the number of surveys that an employee has submitted responses for, divided by the total number of surveys they have been sent from account inception.

Remember: This would exclude your Onboard Surveys, if they are applicable!

While it's completely up to you to participate in surveys your organization sends out to you, it is to your benefit (as well as theirs) that you do answer the surveys. Participation helps your organization grow and adapt, as well as make changes as needed, which leads to happy employees!

Want to know where you stand? Your Survey Participation rate is listed next to your Survey Streak count in your Employee Dashboard:

How Survey Participation is Calculated

Survey Participation includes any kind of survey that the employee receives, regardless of if it’s a long or short survey, an all-company survey, or an individual-specific survey.

Survey Participation takes the total number of surveys an employee has received within TINYpulse, and divides it by the number of surveys an employee has submitted their response for.

Let's say that your organization has sent you 16 surveys in total since you began, and you have answered 12 of those surveys. Your Survey Participation Rate would then be 75% (12 / 16 = 0.75)
