Quarterly Business Review (QBR)

Measure The Impact of Your Employee Engagement Strategy

The purpose of this Quarterly Business Review (QBR) Guide is to provide a clear picture of the goals behind the QBR as well as more specific slide descriptions.

The QBR gives you an overview of your TINYpulse Engagement Strategy which comprises the following three goals:
  • Monitor trends
  • Connect themes
  • Measure their actions

To get the best out of your QBR each quarter, make sure you run an annual engagement survey and set your quarterly Engagement Index Pulse. Click here to learn more about editing progress plans.

What does the QBR include?
  • An Engagement review
  • Quarterly Pulse Planning
  • Your TINYpulse Engagement Strategy Review

Engagement Review

View your quarterly engagement results, Key Driver Analysis, and recommended actions. The Engagement Index is a science-backed metric you can use to keep a Pulse on this critical initiative. Establishing your trend is the first step to executing a strategic plan using TINYpulse.

Key Driver Analysis is done for you by TINYpulse. In this report, you will find recommended drivers to prioritize and suggested Actions you can take to improve them.

A bird’s eye view of your Pulse questions for the quarter will help you understand where you are above and below the benchmark. Here you will want to pay close attention to what is being asked.

  1. Are you following up on priority items from your Engagement survey by gathering more information on the relevant themes?
  2. Are there any themes that anecdotally feel problematic but you haven’t gotten data on them for a while?

Quarterly Pulse Planning

Your upcoming Pulse schedule will help you compare what you have planned as compared to what you previously asked. Make sure that you have a mix of focused listening on your priority themes and timely diagnostics to keep you up to date.

3 tips for a more strategic approach:
  • Pick a key metric and establish a quarterly trend using Progress Plans.
  • Based on your employee’s feedback, choose a theme/driver to work on. Plan out the actions you want to take, and let your team know.
  • Give yourself enough time to complete your action plan, then re-measure your theme/drivers.
