How to Sync Your 1-on-1s with Your Google Calendar

While manually managing your 1-on-1s is already super easy in Coach, you may want to simplify it even more by syncing your 1-on-1s with your Google calendar meetings with your direct reports.

Follow these quick and easy steps to set up this integration.

Authorizing Limeade Listening to access your Google calendar

1. Navigate to the 1-on-1 page in your Employee View.

2. Click on the Add 1-on-1 button in the top right corner.

3. Click on the Sync your calendar tab and choose the Sync with Google option.

4. Log into your Google account and authorize our access to sync your Google calendar with your 1-on-1s.

5. Your Google calendar is now integrated with your Limeade Listening account!

Adding a 1-on-1s from Google meetings

Once your Limeade Listening account is synced with your Google calendar, you will then want to choose which meetings you want to add as 1-on-1s.

Please note that Google calendar meetings will only be displayed as an option for a 1-on-1 if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • The Google event must be a recurring meeting
  • The Google event must only include you (the manager) and your direct report
  • The privacy settings on your calendar event must be public so that Limeade Listening can see the event
  • The Google event must be a unique creation - please make sure that it is not duplicated from another event

If your Google event meets these requirements, you can then see and choose to sync the event with Limeade Listening as a 1-on-1.

Any 1-on-1s created with the Google integration will need to be managed in your Google calendar. You will no longer be able to change the day of the 1-on-1 or cancel a 1-on-1 in Limeade Listening, as all changes will need to be made in your Google calendar. If you do not want to sync a 1-on-1 with your Google calendar any longer, just click on the three dots to the right of the 1-on-1 and select Unsync.

Merging your existing 1-on-1s with your Google meetings

If you have already manually added a 1-on-1 for this user on the 1-on-1 page, you will have an option to merge the manually created 1-on-1 with the synced Google event so you do not have any duplicate 1-on-1s.

1. Click on the Merge with Existing button.

2. Select the manually created 1-on-1 that you would like to merge with your synced Google event.

3. Save the merge.

4. Click Next, and your Google event will be successfully merged with your 1-on-1 in Limeade Listening. Now any changes you make in Google will also update your 1-on-1 in Limeade Listening.

Adding new 1-on-1s from your Google events

If you would like to set up a new 1-on-1 for a direct report who does not already have a manually created 1-on-1, you can simply add a new 1-on-1 directly from your Google calendar.

1. Navigate to the 1-on-1 page in your Employee View.

2. Click on the Add 1-on-1 button in the top right corner.

3. Click on the Sync your calendar tab, choose the Sync with Google option, and log into your Google account.

4. Select a Google event from the list to add as a 1-on-1 and click on the Next button. Note that if you added Google 1-on-1 events with a secondary email, please click the Calendar dropdown and select the correct email.

5. Your Google event is now being synced as a 1-on-1 in Limeade Listening!
